Howard Bamman and Don Alan

Howard Paul Bamman, left plays the "Stooge," as he assists Don Alan at the 1969 International Brotherhood of Magicians convention in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Unknown to Don Alan, Bamman went to a movie theater across the street and bought a tub of popcorn. Bamman was sitting about five rows up from stage right. Alan asked for a volunteer for a free haircut and pointed to Bamman, "Who me?" "yes, sir, please come up on stage." Don noticed the pop corn. Yes, you sir, you can bring your snack with you." As dad makes is way through the packed row, he lets out a prolonged scream as pop corn is thrown up into the air. Dad turns to the man behind him and says, "SIR! I'M MARRIED!" to the delight of the audience. Don now regrets planning this bit. Dad continues to play the part and asks Don to show him what he wants done by slipping his head into the barber's guillotine, "What ever you do, don't pull the leaver." "This leaver?" Click, the blade falls through Don's neck. Unbeknownst to both of them, the contraption is now stuck shut and Don can not escape. Dad helps him to his feet and Don awkwardly walks off stage. Dad stands alone on stage, picks up the tub and the remaing snack and returns to the audience.
